![]() ![]() This does leave you in a non-production safe place as you no longer have any support from your hypervisor vendor etc. If you do not need integration with anything like automatic backups with third party software and advanced functions (if you have multiple hosts) then you have the option to leave it as it is. The others have answered your options with Entitlement to certain functions with the hosts and the way they are licensed. I am not anti VMware in any way but it is no longer the best fit for many organisations who purchased it some time ago. There are a mass of other platforms (yes some completely free of licensing cost, but not support costs) that probably fit your price / value for money ratio better than keeping your VMware 'production fit' ![]() Not quite the answer you were looking for, but if you are running ESXi 5.5 it's most certainly time to review the platform you are running your VM's on. ![]() You realise that it's time to look at a platform that is still Enterprise ready but not priced as VMware licensing and their maintenance costs. ![]()
